Cornelia Stamm Hurter has been appointed by the Swiss government. Hurter is appointed as a new member of the Swiss National Bank (SNB) Bank Council. The SNB stated this publicly, after following a previous government announcement.
Stamm Hurter is the cantonal councillor and head of the finance department of the canton of Schaffhausen. She will join the SNB bank council on May 1, 2022. Ernst Stocker will stand down at the end of April 2022. And she will replace him in that place.
The SNB gave a statement that they would like to take this opportunity to thank Ernst Stocker. His hard work on the Bank Council is remarkable and they wished him all the best for his bright future.
